The widespread rumours within the online poker industry turned out to be true as Doyle’s Room announced via email to all affiliates that it was back in business and set to accept US players from 39 states.
An excerpt from the mailer announced the following:
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that DoylesRoom.com is back in the USA Market. Commencing October 19, 2007, all US-players are welcomed to enjoy our redesigned, faster and better poker tables.
In February of this year, Doyle’s Room ceased to accept players from the USA due to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. At the time players were advised to join Full Tilt Poker. This new move by Doyle’s Room will see these players welcomed back and will have full access to their old accounts.
Players from the USA will be able to fund their accounts using either Western Union transfers or EPassport. Doyles Room also announced that they should be able to accept payments using Visa and MasterCard within the next couple of days.
