UltimateBet Kicks Off Race for Riches

Online poker fans, start your engines. The race for $115,000 in free money is on at UltimateBet. The online poker site today announced its $115,000 Points Race, a leaderboard contest designed to reward new and longtime players with cash regardless of their successes at the tables.

“The ultimate race for riches kicks off on October 1st and every single player at UltimateBet will have equal opportunity to grab a piece of $115,000 in free cash,” stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant.

To qualify for the promotion, online poker players must earn RAI$E Status Points by playing in any real-money raked ring game, SnG tournament or multi-table poker tournament between October 1st and October 31st.

At the end of the promotion period, the top 100 RAI$E Status Point earners will share in a $100,000 prize pool that includes $15,000 for the first place finisher, $10,000 for the second place finisher, and $9,000 for the player who ranks third.

The online poker site is also setting aside an additional $15,000 for an exclusive freeroll open to the top 1,000 RAI$E Status Point earners.

Duke notes that the playing field for the $115,000 Points Race is a level one since each player’s leaderboard rank is based entirely on RAI$E Status Points. Status Points are awarded to all players at exactly the same rate, meaning every single player, regardless of whether they’re new to the site or a longtime player, will have the same chance to qualify for the promotion.

RAI$E Status Points are used by UltimateBet to determine the RAI$E status level of each player every month. There are five levels to the RAI$E program – Ultimate Member, Player, Contender, Legend and Icon – and online poker players gain access to a host of exclusive benefits as they climb up the RAI$E ladder.
