The European Poker Tour goes to Poland
The European Poker Tour (EPT) has announced that a new event in Warsaw, Poland has been added to the schedule for Season 3.
The inaugural Warsaw EPT is scheduled to take place on 14-17 March 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and will have a maximum capacity of 300 players and a 15,000 Zloty buy-in (approximately €3,900), with the no limit Texas Hold’em tournament.
EPT chief executive John Duthie said, “An EPT tournament in Poland will help raise the game’s profile in Eastern Europe, and we have secured a world class venue to host the event in Warsaw. This tournament is not going to be televised, but I see this as an exciting first step for the tour.”
The EPT Season 3 events still remaining include the EPT Scandinavian Open, Copenhagen, Denmark (17-20 January), EPT Dortmund, Germany (8-11 March), EPT Warsaw, Poland (14-17 March), and the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, Monaco (28 March – 1 April).
