Poker Pro Barry Greenstein Wins L.A. Poker Classic Invitational
More than 300 hundred of the biggest stars of screen and felt took part in the invitation-only No-limit freeroll poker tournament that rounded off last week’s L.A. Poker Classic event. Outlasting pros like Phil Hellmuth, Hoyt Corkins, Scott Fischman, Daniel Negreanu and Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow, as well as celebrities like Jennifer Tilly, Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld) and Norm McDonald of Saturday Night Live fame, it was Barry “Robin Hood’ Greenstein that emerged victorious.
Greenstein’s nickname ‘Robin Hood’ is borne out of his policy to keep his cash winnings but donate all tournament winnings to charity, which he will do with his $100,000 winnings from the L.A. Poker Classic Invitational. Alongside his $100K check Greenstein also received a $25,000 buy in to the World Poker Tour Championship which he will keep.
