Poker Plex announce new software upgrade
Bingo Entertainment N.V., the operators of Poker Plex, today announced their latest software upgrade. I wouldn’t describe myself as a seasoned poker player, but I do love to play a few hands when time allows, so I decided to check Poker Plex out. I went to www.pokerplex.com and downloaded the software. I was very soon registering my account. The first thing that struck me was the colour scheme.
The poker tables are a nice relaxing pale blue colour, very easy on the eyes, and you can almost feel the plush carpet background on your feet! I registered a real money account, but there is the option to play on free tables, so I had a go on some of them first, to get familiar with the software and personal options that can be set.
One new feature is the option to create your own avatar. This is the poker chip type token that is on the table, in effect representing each player. I learned that you can add your own photo to it, or if you’re a bit too bashful for that, or don’t want your poker face to be seen, you can put a photo of your dog, cat, even your goldfish! I am going to practice with my hard poker face before I add my avatar. Your chosen picture will subject to approval first of course. If you hover your mouse over each avatar, you can see the player’s name, and even where they are from, unless they have chosen not to disclose their location.
I decided to make my first deposit and get playing on the real money tables. Amazingly, I found out that I can get up to $200 bonus every month! I made my deposit by credit card, without problem, and went to the lobby. There was plenty of choice as to which games to play; Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-card stud, as well as 1-on-1 games, Tournies, Sit n Go’s, and new to Poker Plex – Holdem Blackjack. The table stakes vary from 25/50 to 600/1200, enough scope to please everyone.
I was surprised at just how many people were playing online in the middle of the day. There is a live chat facility that allows you to see where your friends are playing and chat to them in real time. You can chat to other players at the tables too, even if you don’t know them yet. I was pleased to be seated at a table where there was another female player, as well as four male players. There was some friendly chat going on so I decided to join in whilst playing. The other female player told me she was located in Manchester UK, where the new casino licences have recently been approved, but she said with the recent smoking in public ban in the UK, she will be mostly keeping her poker playing online.
We also discussed the Poker Plex $250 new player freeroll and agreed it was a great way to welcome new players, and I immediately enrolled myself for it. I’m looking forward to playing in that. There is also a Bad Beat Jackpot. Whoever heard of that? It starts at $2,500, and progresses at $250 a day! I’m sure I’m going to be a regular at Poker Plex, I think it’s the best, but don’t just take my word for it, – come and check out the entertainment yourself at www.pokerplex.com
