British vote for the sound of Casino Royale
This year’s Orange British Academy Film Awards were held on Sunday 11th February 2007, at the Royal Opera House in London.
CASINO ROYALE, the latest James Bond film, won the Best Sound Award in the Film Production Category. The other nominees in this category were Babel, Pan’s Labyrinth, and Pirates of the Caribbean; Dead man’s chest, Watters II, and United 93.
It was also nominated for The Alexander Korda Award for the Outstanding British Film of the Year, but the last king of Scotland won that title, as well as the best adapted screenplay, for which Casino Royal was also a nominee.
Daniel Craig was nominated for Best actor in a leading role, but once again this went to the King of Scotland lead actor Forest Whitaker.
