Universal Pictures "Smokin' Aces" film release date

Universal Pictures has announced that 26th January, 2007 is the release date of ‘Smokin’ Aces. The film has been rated R, and is categorized as ‘Action, Comedy’. Its cast boasts names such as Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia, Alicia Keys, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Ryan Reynolds, Peter Berg, Martin Henderson, Taraji Henson, and Common. If you’re a lover of the Casino world, then this may be a film for you.

Without wanting to give too much of the plot away, the story plays around an FBI agent as he hunts for a Las Vegas stand up comedian who has decided to squeal on the mob, but, before he heads off for protective custody, he decides to go to the casinos at Lake Tahoe for one last good time.

Apparently, Aces has agreed to turn state’s evidence against his criminal cronies in Vegas, in order to save himself from a life in prison. With all eyes on Lake Tahoe, a rogues’ gallery of killers collides in a mad race to the Nomad Casino penthouse suite, where they hope to hit the jackpot and wipe out Aces.
